SWOT analysis of A2 coursework options

Film trailer –
Strengths:
Similar to the film opening from AS, therefore I have past experience.
Weaknesses:
Could end up being too similar to my AS work, which didn’t get very high marks.
Opportunities:
I could potentially build on my AS opening with this, adding in elements of a trailer.
Threats:
I may not be able to get actors to help me with this.


Music video –
Strengths:
Can try different techniques out.
Weaknesses:
Will be difficult to transfer some of my past learnt skills over to this task, with little to no experience of this.
Opportunities:
I could still use a youth culture theme in this, as most music videos use this in some way.
Threats:
I may not be able to get actors to help, and copyright could be an issue.


Short film –
Strengths:
I have some experience of this from AS, therefore I could build on the skills I used last year.
Weaknesses:
I couldn’t shoot much footage at AS, so shooting even more could be an issue.
Opportunities:
I could extend on the film opening I made in AS during this task.
Threats:
I may not be able to get actors to help me with this.
